Owned and operated by Rusty Powers, The Plumbing and Heating Company currently fields five service technicians each equipt with a mobile warehouse with thousands of parts, hundreds of tools and always available to provide door-to-door service to our customers.

"Our dedication to customer service, our technical ability, attention to details and candor sets us apart as a company" says Rusty. "I grew up working in our family's general store in Angoon. That's where we learned that honesty is the foundation of a successful business."

Rusty firmly believes that providing high quality work and using the best available parts and products provide long-term savings to their customers. "There may be others who provide lower prices," Rusty admits, "but we are the least expensive shop in town because we get it right the first time. When it comes to servicing your plumbing, heating and mechanical systems for home or business, you will only cheat yourself by going for the cheapest labor and parts."

Rusty began his career as a marine mechanic who supplemented their incomes with winter employment in the plumbing trade. The uncertain nature of the commercial fishing industry led to the establishment of The Plumbing and Heating Company in February, 1993.
